OUR VISION & MISSION

OUR

VISION

“We want to see the spiritual landscape of south St. George changed by bringing the Living Water of Jesus to spiritually thirsty people.”

OUR

MISSION

“We exist to help people find new life and hope in Jesus as we follow Him.”

OUR

VALUES

Here at Oasis Church we Value these things below!

  • ACTS 2:46-47 "And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved."

  • 1 Thessalonians 3:12 "and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you.."

  • 2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."

  • I JOHN 5:14 "And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us."

  • PHILIPPIANS 2:3-4 "Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others."

  • MATTHEW 28:16-20 "Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them.17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

  • ACTS 9:31 "So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied."

OUR

BELIEFS

Here at Oasis Church, We Believe these things below!

  • We believe in the one and true God who is the Creator and Ruler of the universe upholding and governing all.  He is personal, loving, holy, and exists eternally in three distinct persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

    (Genesis 1:1, 26-27; Deuteronomy 6:4; Psalm 90:2; Isaiah 9:6, 61:1-3; Matthew 3:16,17; 28:19; Luke1:35; John 1:14, 14:28, 15:26, 16:28; Acts 5:3-4; I Peter 1:2).

  • We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in love, holiness, justice, and grace.

    (Luke10:21-22; Matthew 23:9; John 3:16, 6:27; Romans 1:7; 1 Timothy 1:1-2, 2:5-6; 1 Peter 1:3; Revelation 1:6).

  • We believe Jesus to be the virgin born Son of God who lived in flesh, died for the sins of the world, was buried, rose again bodily, and ascended to the Father.

    (Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1,14; 20:28; Philippians 2:5,6; 1 Timothy 2:5, 3:16 1 John 1:7; Revelation 1:5, 5:9; Colossians 1:20; Romans 3:10-12, 23; 5:9; John 1:29).

  • We believe in the Holy Spirit who regenerates and indwells every believer in Jesus, assures us of our salvation, guides us into all truth, glorifies Jesus and convicts of sin, righteousness, and judgment.

    (John 14:16-17, 26; 15:26-27; John 16:9-14; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 6:19; Galatians 5:22-26).

  • We believe that the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Holy Spirit to write the very words of Scripture.

    (Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25,26; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20,21; Deuteronomy 4:1-2; Psalm 119:11, 89, 105; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 22:29; John 5:39, 16:13-15, 17:17; Romans 15:4; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 1:1-2, 4:12; 1 Peter 1:25; 2 Peter 1:21).

  • God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.

    (Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:31; Galatians 2:16; 3:8, 3:18; Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5; Hebrews 9:22; John 1:12, 14:17,23; 15:4; Romans 8:11; Revelation 3:20).

  • God gives man eternal life through Jesus Christ, and because of this the believer is secure in that salvation for eternity.

    (John 10:29; II Timothy 1:12; Hebrews 7:25 & 10:10-14; I Peter 1:3-5).

  • We believe in the universal church, the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the Head.  Those within the Church are those who have trusted by faith in the finished work of Christ.

    (John 17:11,20-23; Ephesians 1:22; 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23. Matthew 16:18-19, 18:15-20; Acts 2:41-47, 5:11-14, 13:1-3, 14:23, 16:5, 20:28; 1 Corinthians 7:17; Ephesians 1:22-23, 2:19-22, 3:10-12, 5:22-32; Colossians 1:18, 3:15; 1 Peter 5:1-4; Revelation 21:2-3).

  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ committed to the Church two ordinances.  These being 1) baptism, and 2) the Lord’s Supper (Communion) which is open to all believers in Jesus Christ for salvation.

    (Mt. 28:19; Acts 2:38, 8:12, 36-38, 10:47-48; Mark 16:16; Co. 2:12; Mt. 26:26-29; Mark 16:16; Acts 8:12, 36-38, 10:47-48; I Cor. 10:16, 11:23-26).

  • We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom.

    (Matthew 24:30; 26:63, 64; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 2 Thessalonians 1:7,8; Revelation 1:7).

OUR DISCIPLE

MAKING PROCESS

Here at Oasis Church we believe in making Disciples!

Gather

We are currently gathering in homes called Oasis Communities (OC’s).  Our focus is to grow these communities spiritually and numerically until our public launch Sunday mornings sometime in the Fall of 2024.  More info coming soon.

Grow

Oasis Communities.

We seek genuine relationships in small groups called Oasis Communities (OC’s).  As an oasis in the desert brought rest, refreshment, and rejuvenation, these OCs are meant to offer the same spiritually for our souls.  OC’s currently meet in homes to care, share, support, and love one another.  Each OC includes four elements that can be expressed differently based on the personality of the group.  They share the biblical commonality of celebration, care, conversation, and community (Acts 2:42-47).  The following OC’s are currently meeting….

  • Men’s OC:  Meets every Thursday
    @ 8pm.

  • Women’s OC:  Meets every other Saturday @ 6pm.

  • OC Desert Bluff:  Meets every Sunday
    @ 6pm.
